James C. Jacob, Jr., CCIM

President
Jim Jacob was born in Tampa, Florida on August 2, 1956, and was raised in the Tampa area, attending Gorrie, Wilson and Plant public schools. Mr. Jacob received a BS degree in Business Administration from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina in 1978. After graduation from college, Mr. Jacob served on active duty as an armor officer in the United States Army. Upon leaving the Army in 1983, Mr. Jacob supervised new home construction and lot development for General Homes in Tampa. In 1985, Mr. Jacob obtained his general contractor's license and real estate salesman's license while he was head of the Land Division of Resource Capital Corporation. In 1986 Mr. Jacob joined the firm of Preston & Farley, Inc., Realtors, where he specialized in property management, commercial investment brokerage and land brokerage. Mr. Jacob is an associate member of the Urban Land Institute, is a member of the local and state Realtor organizations and holds the CCIM designation from the Realtor's National Marketing Institute of the National Association of Realtors. An Eagle Scout, Mr. Jacob supports the Boy Scouts of America, is an elder in the Presbyterian church, and is active in a variety of other civic, social and professional organizations.

Kathleen D. Jacob

Marketing Manager
Kathy is a native of Tampa and graduated from King High School in 1968. Kathy attended Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida. In 1979, Kathy began her advertising and marketing career at Louis Benito Advertising working with a variety of clients including McDonald's Restaurants, General Telephone Company, the Tampa Port Authority and Paramount Pictures. In late 1983, Kathy accepted a position with Wendy's International Restaurants as their Regional Marketing Manager for the Southeastern United States and Caribbean where she handled both company and franchise markets. In 1987, Kathy joined Creative Directions, a real estate advertising firm, to pursue her interest in real estate marketing. While with Creative Directions, the agency was purchased by Benito Advertising, and Kathy was Senior Account Executive handling the Jack Nicklaus golf course communities throughout the United States, Talquin Development Scarborough-Sembler Developments, Ibis Golf & Country Club in West Palm Beach, The Oaks in Sarasota County, and many smaller projects. In March, 1991, Kathy left Benito Real Estate to join Jacob Real Estate Services where she is responsible for marketing planning and tracking of all of our client's for sale and for lease opportunities.

Elizabeth B. Hofmeister

Director of Property Management
Elizabeth Hofmeister joined JRES in 2009. Originally from South Carolina, she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from College of Charleston and a Master in Business Administration from The Citadel. Initially licensed in South Carolina in 1991, she started her real estate career in residential property management and then became Project Manager for a commercial development firm while she was also Broker In Charge of the company's real estate firm. She has been a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker since relocating to Florida in 1996 and also holds a Florida Community Association Manger license. Mrs. Hofmeister worked for Barclay Group, a nationwide commercial developer with corporate clients including Publix and Walgreens, initially as Project Manager of the Florida Division. While at Barclay Group she gained experience in many facets of development including leasing, brokerage and commercial property management. She gained experience through hands-on involvement at every stage from acquisition due diligence through construction. Mrs. Hofmeister was ultimately promoted to Director of Finance and responsible for all corporate and project administration as well as client, lender and investor relations. She left the company in 2003 to start her own real estate firm and manage her husband's residential contracting company. Mrs. Hofmeister enjoys both the administrative and field sides of her position with JRES and lives in South Tampa with her husband and two children.

In our office we have several key people who assist with the day to day functions in the office or outside of the office in the field with property management and construction management.
Inside the Office
Pam McClamma has been handling bookkeeping for JRES since 2003. As our head Bookkeeper, Mrs. McClamma is solely responsible for all finance and accounting. She has extensive cash accounting experience from many years in various banking positions including Customer Service and Lead Teller with Sun Trust and NationsBank. Mrs. McClamma has provided accurate and efficient reporting all clients and proven herself invaluable in audits because of her detailed record keeping. She has excellent computer skills and a broad practical knowledge of accounting which was key when she coordinated JRES' conversion to the Quicken Property Pro Commercial Property Management System. She is married and has two children and lives in Brandon, Florida.
Lindy Thornton is an administrative assistant who joined our company more than five years ago. Mrs. Thornton supervises our monthly reporting and reconciliations, as well as handling a wide variety of corporate administration roles inside our office, and frequently serves as a liaison between our office and field staff. Mrs. Thorton holds an inactive Florida real estate sales associates license. She and her husband Bill have two adult children and live in Valrico, east of Tampa.
